  25. DCPlayer - another pulsating Blender Software (BS) production

  28. It's yet another music CD player. This one takes very little memory, not much
  29. CPU time, works in the background, and watches the joypad or joystick plugged
  30. into controller port 1 on the CD32 or the game port on normal Amigas.

  32. So now you can play CDs whilst doing something else using Workbench. When you
  33. want to swap CDs or skip tracks or something like that press a button on the
  34. joypad and carry on with what you were doing before, instead of messing about
  35. shuffling through windows or screens, clicking on something, then finding
  36. your way back.

  38. I wrote it to help me to sample CDs though. Connect a sampler from the CD32's
  39. audio output to the SX-1's parallel port, load up this, load up some sample
  40. software, and use this to skip to the right place BEFORE starting to sample.

  43. At the moment nobody's found out a way of ripping music straight from CD to
  44. memory with cd.device, so this is the easiest way (just try it with the mouse
  45. on the other CD players to see what I mean).

  51. - Changed the EMULATION option so that it works for practically any CD32
  52.   emulation around or any new ones. 'Cos of this, the Hisoft Squirrel and
  53.   Power CD drives should work fine now.
  54. - Made new emulation options for reverse and forward search. This sorts out
  55.   the Archos, Squirrel, and Power drives.
  56. - Made a new SHOW option so you can choose what read out you want on start
  57.   up. Now you don't need to keep changing it when DCPlayer starts. It works
  58.   for people without control pads too.
  59. - Made a new LOOP option is like the SHOW option but for repeat play.
  60. - Made a new PLAY option which can start playing from a track number or in
  61.   random play mode as soon as DCPlayer starts, if there's a CD in the drive.
  62. - Made a NORESET option for anyone who booted from CD and doesn't want the
  63.   CD32 to reset as soon as the boot CD is removed.
